Maybe I should move back to France...

The openly-gay mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoe, is visiting San Francisco this week to meet with city officials and strengthen Parisien-San Franciscan ties. Segolene Royal is a female forerunner in the French presidential race for 2007. She (GASP) lives with a "domestic partner" and has four children.

Meanwhile back at home, a group of parents in Massachusetts have complained to school officials about a teacher reading King & King- the fictional story of a gay prince. There are also very few people in this country that think we will have a female president in the near future.

How did we get so far behind?

Earth Day

What will you do to help improve the planet? Interestingly, many things we can do to help the planet will also save us money. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Reduce paper waste by receiving and paying your bills online.
2. Use public transportation.
3. Reduce fuel waste by purchasing produce locally or growing your own.
4. Charge your Ipod and Cell phone with solar power.
5. Become "carbon neutral."
